Langhorne, here we come! |
The subject matter at "Free Your Mind" focused on consciousness, mind control and the occult. Despite what's available on mainstream social media and cable TV, ALL of that material is completely relevant.
Back when SNL was edgy, they made a series of tongue-in-cheek cartoons exposing our weird world.
But, but, but...the occult??? Oh my gosh, isn't that the creepy Voodoo, "Eyes Wide Shut" sort of stuff?
"Password, sir?"
"Fidelio."
"Thank you, sir."
*gulp*
Let's take a look at the word "Occult."
The Google definition says:
oc·cult
əˈkəlt/
noun
noun: occult; plural noun: occults
1.
supernatural, mystical, or magical beliefs, practices, or phenomena.
"a secret society to study alchemy and the occult"
synonyms: | the supernatural, the paranormal, supernaturalism, magic, black magic, witchcraft, sorcery, necromancy, wizardry, the black arts, occultism, diabolism, devil worship, devilry, voodoo, hoodoo, white magic, witchery, mysticism; |
So sure. In common Google English usage today, the word "occult" means all of that mystical, paranormal stuff--but please suspend your fear for a second. Bear in mind that we have defined the common usage of it. The etymological roots of the word reveal much more to us:
It seems the very meaning of the word has been "occult'-ed from common usage! |
So the subject matter discussed at the "Free Your Mind" conference was information that's been hidden from mainstream society--material that is not available on your list of cable channels. Why, you may ask, would you be interested in occult topics though? I have enough to do in my day-to-day life!
While encouraging in its intention, one has to wonder with this caption, is this passive approach to life all that we have to look forward to? |
For years, I thought about that question. I worked in corporate banks, bought lots of gadgets and lived a pretty normal life. But one day, I stumbled upon this thought:
Motivational speaker Jim Rohn planted this thought in my head years ago.
Living the day-to-day without much thought to really improving myself seemed empty, especially with me being an ex-cult and a 9/11 survivor. What I needed to do was to acquire knowledge on how to improve myself and my outlook on life--topics that are hidden on mainstream cable-TV channels.
Excessive TV viewing can contribute to poor grades sleep problems, behavior problems, obesity, and risky behavior in children. Thanks mainstream corporatism! |
As time went on, I disconnected from TV and began reading books, watching documentaries and listening to podcasts. These are three of the life-changing podcasts I began listening to:
Founded by whistle-blower, Richard Grove, this site provides tools for healthy thinking. You'll reclaim your mind with this one, folks! |
Researcher Mark Passio explores our shared reality without us having to join a cult! |
What do Barack Obama and Katy Perry have to do with the occult? Freeman's perspective will blow your mind on that and more! |
Of course there are many more podcasts out there, but these are sure to whet your appetite. The content is based on hidden knowledge, in other words, what the powers-that-shouldn't-be would rather you didn't know.
How the mind affects your perspective is astounding! |
Fast forward (or backwards, depending on your perspective) to April 11, 2015. I met Mark Passio, founder of What on Earth is Happening podcast and Freeman Fly, founder of Freemantv.com. I'm sure that they, and the rest of the speakers at the "Free Your Mind" conference understand that most of the public would rather just live their lives without exercising thought. The masses are just too spent from the squeeze of our empire-especially since we are seen as mere "human resources."
Krabby O'Mondays. Yippee.
Some of us, however, are understanding that if we continue to be a cork in the ocean of life, there are consequences to that mode of non-thinking. Some of us also understand that society has been ruled by some pretty effed-up people. We, those who are awakening to higher consciousness, want to see not just our own personal lives improved but the entire world improved! These guys got me started on the road to working on myself and therefore bettering the world around me.
All of which started by reading books like The Magic of Believing.
"What the fool cannot learn, he laughs at, thinking that by his laughter he shows superiority instead of latent idiocy."--Claude M. Bristol |
Thanks for all of the work that researchers like the above do. Whether or not, they realize it, they are freeing minds, one at a time!
